Terms of Service
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you (the "User") and Menta (project in formation) ("Menta," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Menta mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be 16 years or older and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction.
The Service is currently a pre‑launch prototype and wait‑list; no paid features or live therapy sessions are offered yet.
2. Licence & Acceptable Use
We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, revocable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non‑commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
Copy, modify, decompile or create derivative works from any part of the Service.
Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or to harvest email addresses.
Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code.
Access, monitor or copy the Service via automated means (bots, scrapers) without our written consent.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service—including text, graphics, logos, trademarks and software—is owned by or licensed to Menta and protected by applicable intellectual‑property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you.
4. Email Wait‑List
By submitting your email address you consent to receive product updates and early‑access announcements from us.
You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in each message or by emailing hi@getmenta.com.

5. Professional Guidance & Informational Nature
The Service is developed with input from licensed mental‑health professionals on Menta's advisory board. However, the information currently available is provided for general wellness and educational purposes only and does not constitute personalised medical or mental‑health advice. Always seek the guidance of a qualified health‑care provider regarding specific questions or concerns. If you believe you may be experiencing an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties—express or implied—regarding the Service, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement or availability.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Menta's total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service will be limited to losses or damages that are a direct and reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Menta, its founders, future affiliates and service providers from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
9. Changes to the Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised version on this page and, if changes are material, notify you by email or within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
12. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement – These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Menta.
Severability – If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
No waiver – Our failure to enforce any provision shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision or any other.
